Cellulite treatment – know which route to take
Many women are in search of a way to help them get rid of cellulite, but it can be confusing to know which treatment will be the most effective and more so due to the fact that results will vary regardless of the treatment and will depend on the individual. There are treatments available that are effective to some degree but won’t be effective for cellulite removal. Here we’ll take a look at several type of treatments available, and discuss the benefits each treatment offers.
Cellulite Treatment: the less invasive treatments
Eating a healthier diet that’s low in calories and high in fiber may help to reduce the appearance of cellulite, but will not provide you with cellulite removal. While it may not get rid of it entirely it will get rid of a portion of fat, hence it will also get rid of some of the fat that’s trapped in pockets under the skin.
A common cellulite treatment is the use of cellulite creams. These creams can claim to completely rid you of cellulite, but what they mainly do is help to minimize the appearance as well as tighten up the skin, but it’s only temporary. These creams contain retinol and caffeine, used as a diuretic to suck the moisture and liquid from your skin, making it look and feel smoother. Retinol is supposed to work by being able to penetrate the skin and increase collagen production.
Another cellulite treatment is cellulite laser treatment. This can be used in conjunction with roller massage therapy such as Endermologie. When both treatments are used they appear to trigger the breakdown of subcutaneous fat.
Cellulite Treatment: the surgery approach
Cellulite lysing, also known as subcision surgery is a cellulite treatment and involves the cutting of fibers that attach the fat cells to skin, the releasing of the fibrous tissue can cause the fat to drop downward, eliminating the dimpling of the skin.
Fat injections are another type of cellulite treatment and are designed to fill out cellulite dimples, making the skin appear smooth. This treatment usually has good results, but because the fat will eventually be absorbed in the body, the effects are not lasting.
Cellulite Treatment: the work hard approach
There are several workouts and exercises designed to minimize the appearance of cellulite over time. Cardiovascular exercises are the most important when it comes to reducing cellulite on your body. By exercising daily, you will help to lower your overall body fat content. These types of fast paced workouts can help you burn fat, with some of the fat burned being the fatty cells known as cellulite. Jogging four times a week is another way to help minimize your cellulite as is swimming and riding a bike.
Exercising and changing your diet will not be as effective as a surgical cellulite treatment, but it can help to make it less prominent, making you look and feel better while strengthening and toning muscle.
